Frequently asked questions

Clear answers before we get started.

Here are a few things teams commonly want to understand about how we work.

How do you approach accessibility?

We include accessibility in discovery, content, interaction design, implementation, and quality review. Depending on the engagement, that can include keyboard testing, screen-reader checks, zoom and reflow review, and a prioritized remediation plan.

How long does a project take?

Timing depends on the service, decision-making needs, integrations, and team availability. A focused discovery sprint may take a few weeks; a delivery program is planned in phases after scope and dependencies are understood.

Can you integrate with our existing systems?

We assess current systems and integration constraints early. We can help define APIs, data flows, and implementation options, and work with your internal owners or vendors. Feasibility depends on the systems and access available.

What happens during discovery?

We align on goals, listen to users and staff, map journeys and operational realities, review relevant technology, and make assumptions and decisions visible. The output is a practical direction, not a large report for its own sake.

How do you handle privacy?

We favor data minimization, clear access patterns, thoughtful handling of sensitive information, and security review as part of product decisions. Specific controls and responsibilities are defined with the organization and its technical stakeholders.

What support do you provide after launch?

Support can include service-impact triage, product and engineering maintenance, accessibility follow-up, content adjustments, and a regular improvement cadence. Coverage and channels are agreed for each engagement.

Can you help migrate existing content?

Yes. We can inventory and prioritize content, identify redundancies, develop plain-language patterns, and plan migration with your content owners. We keep review and governance needs in view.

Do you build design systems?

Yes. We create accessible foundations, component guidance, content patterns, and contribution approaches that fit your product ecosystem. We can also help improve and extend an existing system.

Who owns the product and its roadmap?

Your organization remains the product owner. We facilitate decisions, offer recommendations, and help maintain a clear roadmap with your stakeholders and internal product leads.

Can you work with our existing internal team?

Absolutely. We often join established product, engineering, operations, and accessibility teams. We clarify roles early, share work in progress, and aim to leave useful knowledge behind.

Do you provide medical advice or clinical care?

No. Verdant Orbit Healthworks is a technology and digital service design company. We do not provide medical advice, diagnose conditions, or replace clinicians.
